SEC Media Days are officially in the books, so that means it’s time for the media to vote on how they think this season will go. They shockingly picked Georgia to win the SEC for the first time since Texas and Oklahoma joined the conference, but that wasn’t the only thing the media voted on.
The media also voted on their three preseason All-SEC teams, and 12 Bulldogs made the cut. Kicker Peyton Woodring however somehow wasn’t included though.

Woodring has been Georgia's kicker for three years now. He has been very reliable for his entire career, but last season he was at his best.
He finished the 2025 campaign hitting 17 of 19 field goal attempts with a season long of 53 yards. He was also perfect in PAT's for the third season in a row. His 2025 season was good enough for him to be named to the All-SEC second team by the AP voters and the SEC coaches last season. That fact alone should've cemented his place on a 2025 preseason team, but that was not the case.
There really is no explanation for why he wasn't included. Kicking isn't a position that is really impacted by anything an opposing team does on the field, so the best kickers in the league tend to stay at the top for their entire careers. No one is saying Woodring should've been on the first team, but the fact that he wasn't included on any of the three teams is shocking.
Georgia however still had a handful of players make one of these three teams as they were tied with Oklahoma and Texas at the top with a whopping 12 selections.

Leading the way for Georgia on the first team were offensive linemen Earnest Greene and Drew Bobo. The Bulldogs also had two defenders make the first team as well in safety KJ Bolden and corner Ellis Robinson. This makes it abundantly clear that Georgia's offensive line and secondary should be a strength for the team this year.
Georgia had five players make the All-SEC second team. On offense running back Nate Frazier, tight end Lawson Luckie and offensive lineman Dontrell Glover were selected. Defensive lineman Elijah Griffin and linebacker Raylen Wilson were also named to the second team as well.
Last but not least is the third team which included defensive end Gabe Harris and safety Khalil Barnes. Quarterback Gunner Stockton also made the third team as well.
Oklahoma kicker Tate Sandell made the All-SEC first team, and this selection was extremely fair as he was named to the 2025 All-SEC first team at the end of last season. Ole Miss kicker Lucas Carneiro was named to the second team and Auburn's Alex McPherson made the third team in place of Woodring.
Woodring hopefully will be able to use this as motivation to have an even better season this year. He however probably doesn't care that much that he didn't make the cut because the only thing that matters is if he makes one of these three teams at the end of the season.
