Georgia is gearing up for their College Football Playoff showdown against Ole Miss at the Sugar Bowl. The Bulldogs and Rebels will do battle on Jan. 1 with a trip to the semifinals on the line.

Both Georgia and Ole Miss held their media day at the Sugar Bowl earlier this week, and players and coaches on both teams said a lot of interesting things entering this matchup. But it was Ole Miss defensive tackle Will Echoles who made the most out of pocket remark as he said he doesn't see anything special about Georgia true freshman offensive lineman Juan Gaston.

"I don't really see nothin' special."

Georgia, Juan Gaston will make Ole Miss pay for their latest statement

Gaston is a former five-star recruit who has made multiple starts this year for Georgia. In fact, he started the first game of the season which is almost unheard of for a true freshman offensive lineman.

Gaston has dealt with a few injuries this season that has limited the amount of games he has played in, but he was healthy during the first matchup against Ole Miss. And this was one of the best games of his career as he played 12 pass blocking snaps and allowed zero pressures.

Echoles has had a solid season this year for Ole Miss as he has recorded 4.5 sacks, but he did not have a great game against Georgia. He did rack up four tackles, but he did not have a sack let alone a tackle for loss. So why he is saying this about Gaston when he had the much better game earlier this season when they played each other?

This isn't the first batch of disrespect from the Rebels as quarterback Trinidad Chambliss claimed Ole Miss was the better team during the first meeting.

Georgia was already extremely motivated to win this game, but these players will regret giving UGA even more motivation heading into this matchup.
