Georgia football is hitting the ground running on the recruiting trail now that their season is officially over. Kirby Smart and his staff have made excellent moves in the transfer portal, with the highlight being the addition of two elite wide receivers that will likely be starters for Georgia next season.

And while Smart and his staff will continue to recruit the portal hard, a lot of their attention is also being put on recruiting the 2026 high school class as well.

Georgia hasn't received a commitment in quite some time, but they have received a lot of good news from many of their top targets. This includes the No. 1 quarterback in the country who scheduled an upcoming official visit to Georgia later this summer.

However, this weekend marked the first Junior Day of the 2025 offseason. These recruiting events are massive for Georgia as they bring in a huge list of their top recruiting targets as well as some players they are interested in and want to get to know a little more. And the first Junior Day of the year was a big one as 247Sports confirmed 22 recruits that were on campus for the event on Saturday, Jan. 18.

While it is nice to see this many recruits on campus, what matters more is how their visits went. And based on their posts on social media, this event seemed to have gone extremely well.

Recruits speak highly of their time on Georgia's campus

It's unclear if Georgia will earn any commitments from any recruits that were on campus this weekend, but with it only being January that isn't a huge concern. Right now Georgia needs to be putting themselves in a great position with as many of their top recruits as possible, and weekends like this will accomplish just that.
