Does anyone ever wonder what leads someone to commit to Georgia? Especially after they were already at one of the historically best programs of all time?

That is something that happened earlier this offseason when wide receiver Zachariah Branch made the decision to transfer from USC to Georgia. But what led Branch to join the Georgia football program after deciding to leave USC?

Branch answered that very question on Tuesday when he spoke with the media.

"The culture that coach Kirby Smart and the coaching staff he's established," Branch shared via ugawire.usatoday.com. "I feel like it's a big brotherhood. It's not just words. Some people just say, 'Okay, you have to have the bond and the things like that to be a great team.' But I really do believe that. They've built it into this program year after year."

"Being surrounded by a lot of like-minded players just trying to get towards the same goal," Branch continued. "It's something that is really important to me, as well, and I feel like once I got into that portal, it was pretty easy to make my decision from there,"

Branch wanted a program with the same goals

Branch initially shared all the things that every player says when they’re asked why they chose to commit to a school. Things like the coaching staff, culture and their teammates are always mentioned by every player in the history of college athletics. But it was the last thing Branch said that really stood out.

Branch mentioned that he wants to play for a program that has the same championship aspirations that he has. He wants to play for a coaching staff and with players that all have the same goal as him. And when he visited Georgia, it was very clear that everyone had the same mindset he did.

This is the exact player everyone at Georgia should want, and this answer should only excite the fanbase even more than they already were when thinking about Branch taking the field at Sanford Stadium for the first time later this fall.
