One of the best things to do after any Georgia football game (especially after a win) is going to see what the Bulldogs' opponent had to say about the game. This is typically a time where we can see just how good Georgia's opponent think the Bulldogs are and what they did well enough to win the game.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian had a lot of interesting things to say about Georgia after the Bulldogs 30-15 win on Saturday. Let's take a look and see what he had to say immediately after Saturday's game.

"Unfortunately we didn't play our best football tonight," Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said via uga.rivals.com. "But we were still competitive. Hopefully we get another crack at them. That's a good football team. Credit to Kirby (Smart) and their staff and their players being ready to go in the first half. And like I said, they've been the standard in college football now for about five, six, seven years. And I thought we played them really well in the second half. But we just, when you get behind the eight ball with the way we played the first half, it's a lot to overcome against good football teams. And like I told the team, when you're playing good teams, you've got to fight for 60 minutes. But you have to play well as well. And we just weren't able to get the recipe right."

A few things stand out from this statemet from Sarkisian. First is his acknowledgement that Georgia is and has been the standard of college football for many years now. The reason this is so nice to hear is because so many people didn't think Georgia was at that level anymore. But Georgia did what Georgia always does and won, even when everyone doubted them.

Sarkisian also commented on how Georgia was more prepared for this game than his Texas team was, which was clear after the Bulldogs took a 23-0 lead into halftime. That was one of the biggest takeaways from this game, the fact that Kirby Smart and his staff had their team that much more prepared for this game than Texas was. That fact is the reason why the Longhorns couldn't complete their comeback in the second half, because a 23-point deficit is too much to ever realistically overcome.

Hopefully this excellent game we see from Georgia continues the rest of this season, because if they played as well as they did on Saturday every night then there is no reason why they can't get back on top of the college football world in January and win another national championship.
