Georgia football's matchup with Texas is just a few days away, and Wednesday night the SEC released the first injury report of the week. The Bulldogs received a lot of good news from this report as defensive back Demello Jones was not listed and is fully healthy again. Tight end Lawson Luckie and defensive lineman Joshua Horton were listed as probable as well, so they most likely will play on Saturday as well.

But Texas's half of the injury report was much better than Georgia's half because they did not have one player listed anywhere.

Texas injury report trumps the good news Georgia received

Georgia fans will be ecstatic to see the positive developments on their injury report. That will especially be the case with Luckie who suffered an injury last week against Mississippi State. Luckie has been a huge piece of Georgia's offense all season, so it is nice that he will more than likely play against Texas this weekend.

But all the good news UGA saw was trumped by Texas because they don't have a single player listed on their injury report. This means they will somehow be 100 percent healthy for this matchup this weekend, which is pretty astounding at this point in the season.

Texas was able to get to this point because they are coming off a bye week last week. This extra week off not only gave them more time to prepare for Georgia, but it allowed them to heal up as well. So that extra week off the SEC granted them before this matchup is why Texas's injury report is empty.

Will Georgia be able to overcome this? It will not be easy, but the Bulldogs are still favored to win this game and they will be expected to emerge vivtorious over the Longhorns once again.

Kickoff between Georgia and Texas is scheduled for 7:30 pm EST.
