One of Georgia football's top commits in their 2026 recruiting class is four-star corner Justice Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick committed to Georgia at the beginning of June, and since then his commitment has felt pretty secure.
That however is no longer the case as a new report surfaced indicating that Fitzpatrick plans to take visits to some other programs this fall.
#Georgia is set to battle Miami and Texas this fall to retain the commitment of 4-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick, per Marcus Benjamin of Rivals. 👀

Miami, Texas looking to flip 4-star Georgia commit
According to the above report, Miami (FL) and Texas are the two teams that are attempting to flip Fitzpatrick from Georgia. It's very normal for other schools to attempt to flip some of Georgia's commits, so that fact alone isn't problematic. It is however a problem that Fitzpatrick is giving both schools the time of day.
Not only is Fitzpatrick giving both Miami and Texas the time of day, he plans to take visits to both schools this fall to watch a game. There is no greater sign that a commit is looking to flip his commitment then taking visits to other programs, and unfortunately for Georgia that is exactly what Fitzpatrick plans to do.
Miami and Texas are the two scariest schools for Georgia to go up against on the recruiting trail right now. Out of every program in the country, it's the Hurricanes and Longhorns who have found the most success against Georgia in recruiting this year. Miami specifically has already flipped two Georgia commits in the 2026 class, and Texas has flipped one commit as well while also winning a few recruitments over UGA too.
At this point it's impossible to predict what Fitzpatrick is going to do. But now that Georgia fans know that he is interesting in other programs he really shouldn't be treated like a Georgia commit. He may still opt to stick with Georgia in the end, but until he officially shuts down his recruitment no one should count on Fitzpatrick being a Bulldog.
