Georgia football's biggest threat in the SEC this season is Texas. In fact, the Longhorns were named the No. 1 team in the country by the Coaches Poll earlier this week.
Georgia wasn't too far behind at No. 4, but it's clear that the Longhorns are the team most likely to prevent UGA from repeating as SEC Champions this season. Georgia however should feel a little more confident about their chances to win the SEC after a Longhorns starter suffered a season-ending injury.

Texas starter is out for the season
According to the above post, offensive tackle Andre Cojoe is out for the season after suffering a knee injury. Cojoe was battling for the starting right tackle job for the Longhorns, and many people inside the Texas program believed he would ultimately win the job. Unfortunately that will not be happening after this news.
Georgia will take on Texas in their SEC finale this season, and this news does make it more likely that Georgia can beat the Longhorns for a third time since they joined the conference. But this news doesn't just give Georgia a better chance to beat Texas this year, it also increases the chances that Texas will lose other games as well.
The Longhorns, like every other team in the SEC, face a daunting conference schedule. Games against Florida, Texas A&M and Oklahoma present a real possibility for Texas to drop a game. Even their week one showdown at Ohio State is a likely spot where the Longhorns will lose a game. But this injury will make life that much more difficult for Texas against these great teams this season.
It is still going to be extremely challenging for Georgia to repeat as SEC Champions this season, but there is no denying this injury update improved those chances a little bit.
