Georgia fans don't like Auburn especially after their horrific loss two weeks ago, but cheering the Tigers on the rest of the season benefits UGA. If Auburn can keep winning they not only can make their resume look better, but they could knock some other teams out of the SEC Championship race.

While not many like Lane Kiffin, rooting for LSU to beat Alabama could keep the Crimson Tide out of the playoff and the SEC Championship as well.

Georgia fans already have enough stress worrying about the upcoming Florida showdown and Ole Miss looming right after that, but some extra energy thrown to Auburn or LSU could elevate the Bulldogs in a good way.

A three-loss Alabama is definitely possible

The chances of a three loss team getting into the playoff are slim. No amount of whining by Crimson Tide fans or inside lobbying by Nick Saban on GameDay is going to change that.

LSU is hitting its stride at the right time and beating Alabama in two week would seal the deal of eliminating Alabama. The "Roll Tide" yells would quiet to a whimper in Tuscaloosa, and this scenario is good for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Another loss for Ole Miss is great for Georgia

With Texas handing Ole Miss its second loss of the season, another one at the hands of Auburn this weekend clears them out of the Georgia’s way to making the SEC Championship game. Then Georgia could get some revenge next week when they head to Oxford to erase the loss in the playoff last year to the Rebels.

Georgia's resume is littered with ranked teams so that matters, but a solid run to the SEC Championship and then into the playoff is a clear reality for the Bulldogs this year. Since Gunner Stockton is determined to shake off the nastiness of the Auburn loss, Georgia is poised to finish strong.

Who cares about Ohio State?

Georgia fans should very much care about the Buckeyes. Player for player, Ohio State presents the hardest challenge for Georgia winning another National Championship. But, another loss for Coach Ryan Day likely keeps him and his team out of the playoff. So, Bulldog fans need to stay up late and cheer for USC, Oregon and Michigan in the coming weeks to knock off the Buckeyes.

Georgia has to do its part and win their upcoming games, but with some help from other teams in the SEC and the Big 10 Georgia could once again march into the CFP with some of its biggest competition not even in the picture.
