Georgia football is fresh off their big 31-17 win against Tennessee this past weekend at Sanford Stadium. Their reward for doing so? A much easier game at home against UMass.

The Bulldogs may already be done with their conference schedule, but they still have a ton to play for. Georgia is only the No. 10 team in the updated College Football Playoff rankings, so that means one more loss and UGA will be on the outside looking in when it comes to the committee's 12-team playoff bracket.

So even though this is an easy game to overlook, it is very important that Georgia gives UMass as much attention as they would for any other opponent.

The Bulldogs are used to playing on one of the major TV networks with a well-known crew calling the game. But as one would imagine, that is not the case for this weekend's game against UMass.

TV and announcers set for Georgia vs. Umass

Georgia's game against UMass will be aired on the SEC Network at 12:45 pm EST on Saturday, Nov. 23. Dave Neal and Max Starks will be calling the game on TV while Ashley ShahAhmadi will be roaming the sideline for the crew.

As mentioned, these last two games for Georgia are a must win. But it’s also important that they win these games convincingly.

It is possible for the CFP committee to drop Georgia in their rankings if they win these games by too close of a margin. Imagine for a second that UGA only beats UMass by 10 points. Do you think that would be deserving of a CFP bid? Likely not.

So hopefully Kirby Smart is able to keep his team extremely focused these next two weeks, because Georgia needs to win these games by a large margin so their impressive resume doesn’t take a hit.
