Georgia football has reached their second bye week of the season after defeating Ole Miss 43-35. The Bulldogs are in a great spot to compete for and win an SEC Championship this season, so this next week will be crucial for them to prepare for the rest of the season.

Up next for Georgia is their highly anticipated rivalry matchup against the Florida Gators, and the game time and TV for this game has just been announced.

TV and kickoff time set for Georgia vs Florida

Kickoff between Georgia and Florida is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 pm EST. The game will air on ABC and will be played in Jacksonville, FL at EverBank Stadium.

Georgia will enter this matchup with a 6-1 record which includes an impressive 4-1 mark in SEC play. The latest victory for Georgia came against Ole Miss this past Saturday at home in yet another comeback victory.

Florida’s season however is not going so great as the Gators have fallen on hard times. The Gators currently sit at 3-4 with a 2-2 mark in SEC play. Florida is coming off a win this past weekend as they took down Mississippi State 23-21. This result however wasn’t enough to save head coach Billy Napier’s job as Florida fired Napier on Sunday.

Florida is also on a bye this week, so this matchup will be the first time the Gators will take the field without Napier.

Vegas has not released a spread for this matchup yet, but ESPN’s matchup predictor heavily favors Georgia. ESPN currently gives UGA an 80.1 percent chance to win this game, so it’s likely that Georgia will be favored by a large margin when Vegas releases their initial spread.

This matchup is the first of an important five game stretch to finish Georgia’s season. The Bulldogs have everything to play for this season as an SEC Championship and College Football Playoff are still in play. So even though Florida is having a terrible season and Georgia will be favored by a lot, the Bulldogs can’t afford to overlook them as a loss could end UGA’s season.
