Georgia football is in the midst of their first bye week which has come at a very convenient time after the Bulldogs emotional win at Tennessee on Saturday. But it's impossible to not look ahead to who is up next for Georgia after this bye week.
Up next for Georgia is potentially their biggest game of the regular season as No. 14 Alabama heads to Athens. This game obviously will have college football fans from across the country tuning in, so it will not be a surprise to learn that UGA and Alabama will do battle under the lights on a major TV network.
TV and kickoff time set for Georgia vs. Alabama
Georgia and Alabama are scheduled to kick off on Saturday, Sep. 27 at 7:30 pm EST. ABC is the TV netowrk that will be airing this game as well.
The Crimson Tide enter this game with a 2-1 record after their week one loss at Florida State. College football fans really questioned how good this Alabama team actually was after this loss to the Seminoles, but it's starting to look more and more like Florida State is just a really good team this season. So this loss may not be as bad as people once thought.
Alabama has also looked much better since that loss as they beat UL Monroe 73-0 before handling their business against Wisconsin this past Saturday 38-14.
The good news for Georgia is that they have proven to be one of the best teams in the country after their win this past weekend against Tennessee. So both Georgia and Alabama are trending up heading into this game, which only adds to the excitement that is building.
This game is still a week and a half away, but the hype is already starting to build. Alabama has their first bye week of the season this week as well, so both teams already have their full attention on each other.
Georgia needs to be ready for a tough battle, but if they emerge victorious then the season outlook for the Bulldogs will look as great as it has all season.
