Georgia football had 13 players selected in the 2025 NFL draft and another four signed to teams as free agents. With the NFL preseason wrapping up, which Bulldogs will make the cut on their team's 53-man regular season roster? The rookie report card works on a plus/minus system, so let's take a look at the grades.
Grade: Plus
Dylan Fairchild has drawn rave reviews for the Cincinnati Bengals for his work on the offensive line. Predicted to be a starter.
Malaki Starks, first-rounder for the Baltimore Ravens has had limited play but is showing fans his tremendous potential in the preseason. If not a starter, he'll see plenty of snaps this season.
The Atlanta Falcons have protected their first-round linebacker Jalon Walker by having him only play a few series in the preseason, but his is set to start as an edge rusher.
Tate Ratledge turned in a solid performance for the Detroit Lions with 15 pass-blocking downs, allowing only one pressure.
Getting first-team reps with the Patriots has helped center Jared Wilson rise in the competition with Cole Strange for the starting position.
Arian Smith is in the plus column with a 14.3 per reception average yet may need a bit more work to be a starter.
Trevor Etienne's versatility with four kick returns and a 2.5 yards per carry average reveal he has yet to hit his peak for the Carolina Panthers.
A surprise player is tight end Ben Yurosek, who got plenty of reps with the Vikings because of an injury to Gavin Bartholomew.
Dominic Lovett's seven receptions and 6.4 yard average may win him a spot with the Lions.
Although he was not drafted, free agent Nazir Stackhouse has made the most of his opportunity. Possibly may beat out fellow Bulldog Warren Brinson as the Packers' newest defensive tackle.
Grade: Minus
Speaking of Brinson, he had the lowest rating versus the run on the Packers in the preseason.
Smael Mondon, Jr., is facing strong competition in a full Eagles' linebacker room that already has a wow factor.
With one solo tackle, Viking defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram Dawkins did not have a strong showing.
Undrafted free agent Xavier Truss has not contributed on the Broncos' stat line to date.
Grade: Questionable
Dan Jackson is out with a season-ending injury. Mykel Williams was injured and didn't play in the preseason. Chaz Chambliss faces an uphill battle to make the Vikings squad.
So out of the 17 Georgia rookies looking to make the final roster on their NFL teams, a majority appear to be in a great spot and ready to contribute when the regular season beings in a couple weeks. A few players however have some work to do to secure their spot, so be sure to pay close attention to the final preseason to see which Bulldogs stand out and earn their spot on a final roster.
