Georgia football and Ole Miss are just a few days away from their showdown on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs enter this matchup at 5-1 and looking to become bowl eligible while also taking control of the SEC standings with a win. Ole Miss on the other hand is a perfect 6-0 and the No. 5 team in the country and believe this year will finally be their year to win the SEC.

The Bulldogs however are the favorite to win this matchup according to Vegas oddsmakers, but that fact alone is reason enough for the Rebels to have extra motivation going into this game this weekend.

Vegas gives Ole Miss more motivation vs Georgia

The fact that Georgia is favored against Ole Miss really shouldn’t be that surprising. UGA and Ole Miss are both good teams, but the fact this game is at Georgia should swing it in the Bulldogs favor a little bit. But Vegas actually believes Georgia is the heavy favorite as they opened as 6.5 point favorites.

That was probably already disrespectful in the eyes of Ole Miss, but that disrespect got taken to the another level when Vegas adjusted their spread even more. Just 48 hours after releasing their opening spread, FanDuel Sportsbook changed their line in favor of Georgia and predicted the Bulldogs to win by 7.5 points now.

Ole Miss likely wasn't going to have any problems getting up for this matchup against UGA, but the fact that Vegas is so confident Georgia will win could be the thing that gives them the extra motivation needed to pull off this upset.

Kickoff between Georgia and Ole Miss is scheduled for 3:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 18, so it won't be longer before finding out if Georgia is this much better than Ole Miss or if Vegas has it all wrong.
