Georgia has put the finishing touches on their 2025 SEC schedule with an impressive 7-1 record after a dominant victory over Texas on Saturday. This unfortunately wasn’t good enough to lock in their spot in the SEC Championship game just yet, but there are a few scenarios that could see them make it there.
So while they wait to see how that unfolds, the Bulldogs have two more non-conference games to finish up their regular season. Up next for Georgia is their final home game of the season against Charlotte, and the Bulldogs unsurprisingly are massive favorites. However, Georgia is such a big favorite that Vegas oddsmakers did something very unique when setting their opening betting lines.
Georgia vs Charlotte unique betting line
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Georgia is a 44.5 point favorite over Charlotte. While this is a massive spread, it really shouldn’t be that surprising because Charlotte is a miserable 1-9 this season and 0-7 in AAC play.
This is where things get a little weird because FanDuel does not have a moneyline bet set. This bet gives fans an opportunity just to wager on who will win the game without factoring in a spread whatsoever.
Vegas likely chose to skip over this bet this week because no one would waste their money by betting on Charlotte. And for fans that would have bet on Georgia to win, their return would have been so minuscule that it wouldn’t be worth placing the wager in the first place.
Georgia will win this game on Saturday, but it will be interesting to see how much they win by. Typically Georgia does not win these types of matchups by 40 points during the Kirby Smart era, but as long as they win by a comfortable amount then it doesn’t matter if they cover the spread or not.
