Georgia is about to descend on Omaha to take on the College World Series for the first time since 2008. After a perfect start to the NCAA Tournament, Georgia is one of the favorites to win it all at the College World Series and bring a championship back to Athens.

They have every reason to be confident and believe in themselves because of how great they've played all season, but head coach Wes Johnson believes that their four-team bracket (which only consists of SEC teams) will be a huge advantage for them.

"Obviously, we played all three of them last year," Wes Johnson said via 247sports.com. "There's been turnover, but you know their style, I guess I would say. You know what Skip (Johnson's) style is. You know what Jim (Schlossnagle's) style (is) at Texas. And then Rob (Vaughn) at Alabama, you know how they all coach. You know their tendencies, just like they know ours. And that's what you'll coach off of."

One reason why Georgia should be confident they will advance at the CWS

Georgia's four-team bracket at the College World Series is very unique in the fact that it only features SEC teams. Georgia will face Texas in their first game at the CWS while Alabama and Oklahoma will meet in the other half of their bracket on Saturday as well.

Georgia did not play any of these teams this season, but they did win the SEC regular season and tournament championship this year. That fact alone shows that Georgia is the best teams in their bracket, but that doesn't guarantee that they will win.

In fact, Vegas isn't convinced that Georgia will even be able to beat Texas on Saturday.

Vegas isn't quite sure if Georgia will advance in the College World Series

Georgia is the highest remaining seed left in the NCAA Tournament. They also have won eight straight games which includes their perfect 5-0 record in the NCAA Tournament along with their three wins at the SEC Tournament. One would assume that would be enough to keep advancing at the College World Series, but Vegas doesn't think so.

Vegas somehow has Texas as their favorite to win Saturday night's matchup against Georgia. Sure they are small favorites at -138, but all the good that Georgia has done this year still isn't enough to make them the favorite.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

Interestingly enough, Vegas still believes Georgia will advance out of their four-team bracket even though they think they will lose to Texas in their first game. FanDuel Sportsbook gives Georgia +300 odds to win a National Championship while Texas only has +320 odds.

Georgia better hope they win on Saturday though because if they lose they'll have to win four straight games to advance to the National Championship series. They are good enough to do that if they need to, but it would be much better if they could avoid that.

Georgia has proven everyone wrong all season, and they will have another chance to do that on Saturday, June 13 at 8:00 pm EST when they take on Texas in Omaha.
