Georgia football's offense has already been struggling in recent weeks, and the latest injury report indicates that this weekend's showdown against No. 7 Tennessee is going to make it even harder for them.

Tennessee's defense will create enough problems for the Georgia offense, but the fact that the Bulldogs have four running backs listed on their injury report on Wednesday is very scary. Both Branson Robinson and Roderick Robinson are already ruled out for this game. On the other hand, UGA is hopeful that Trevor Etienne and Cash Jones will be able to play, but as of now they are both questionable for Saturday's game.

So who can Georgia turn to with all of these critical injuries to the running back room?

Who can fill the void at running back?

The obvious first choice is Nate Frazier, who will likely be the starter regardless of who ends up playing this week. Frazier has played very well even since Etienne was first injured against Florida, scoring a touchdown in each of Georgia's last two games.

However, Frazier still has his issues in pass protection and isn't the best pass catcher out of the backfield. And it's no secret how badly Carson Beck needs guys who can catch the ball right now.

So who else needs to be ready to step up alongside Frazier?

There are a couple other options that Kirby Smart may have to turn to, with the first being freshman Dwight Phillips. Phillips has only received one carry so far this season against Florida, which he actually scored a touchdown on from four yards out. He is a very unproven back for Georgia at this point, but UGA may have to turn to him at some point on Saturday.

Another option for Georgia is wide receiver Arian Smith. He played a little running back for Georgia in 2023 and has received three carries so far this season. So Smith is another option that Georgia could turn to on Saturday.

The optimal scenario is that Etienne is able to play against Tennessee and can be the backup to Frazier. At that point, Georgia could sprinkle in guys like Smith and Phillips or maybe even some Dillon Bell as well.

Georgia will continue to release injury updates throughout the week, so Etienne and Jones are two guys to watch closely as their availability this weekend for Georgia is crucial.
