Georgia football once again is making headlines in the recruiting world as they earned a massive commitment from four-star safety Jordan Smith on Sunday. Smith is a top 100 player in the country and is one of the best safeties as well, so it goes without saying how massive this commitment is.

But who could be the next commit for Georgia?

Georgia fans are getting very used to adding commits this past week as Smith is the second top 100 player to commit to Georgia, so the hope is they won’t have to wait much longer for UGA’s next commit. Thankfully it’s looking pretty obvious who Georgia’s next commit will be.

5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell will likely be Georgia’s next commit

Offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell is the No. 1 player in the country. He also has named the Bulldogs as one of his four finalists. And with a commitment date of May 13 quickly approaching, Georgia fans are hoping he will be the next addition to UGA’s recruiting class.

The Bulldogs will have to beat Oregon, Ohio State and Miami (FL) if they’re going to win this recruitment, but it’s looking like that’s exactly what’s going to happen.

Cantwell took a last second visit to Athens this past weekend, and that usually is a great sign for Georgia considering how close it is to his commitment date. But an even more obvious sign that Georgia should expect good news on May 13 is because he was officially predicted to commit to Georgia by 247Sports on Sunday.

Obviously things can change in a hurry, especially with the top ranked player in the country, but at this point it’d be shocking if he didn’t commit to Georgia on Tuesday. So get ready to party like crazy again, because Georgia might be just days away from another massive commitment.
