Postseason play is right around the corner for Georgia and the rest of the college football world. Conference championship weekend is only three weeks away and the College Football Playoff will begin soon after, so now is the time that teams need to be playing their best football.
While some teams are limping to the postseason there are others that are beginning to hit their stride, and Georgia is one of those teams. The Bulldogs are playing so well recently that they are the last team anyone should want to play in the postseason this year.
No team in the country should want to play Georgia in the postseason
Georgia just took down Texas on Saturday which marked their sixth win in a row. The Bulldogs did so in dominant fashion, and that fact alone should strike fear in every other team in the country. But there are countless other reasons why teams should be praying they don’t have to play Georgia in the postseason.
Georgia’s offense is currently firing on all cylinders. This includes Gunner Stockton playing at a Heisman Trophy level as well as a rushing attack that is thriving behind a healthy offensive line. Georgia’s defense has also been improving a lot the last few weeks as their defensive front has forced six sacks and 12 hurries in their last two games.
Georgia’s special teams are also flexing their muscles behind the best kicker in the nation, and Kirby Smart is doing what he does best and is showing each week why he is one of the best coaches in the country.
Everything is going Georgia’s way right now, and that is why no team should want to play them in the postseason. This includes teams like Alabama and Texas A&M who are probably praying Georgia doesn’t make it to the SEC Championship and every team across the country who could make the CFP.
The Bulldogs have every chance to win a National Championship this season, and if they keep playing as great as they have been there isn’t a team in the country they can’t beat.
