The only thing better than beating the Yellow Jackets? Crushing their dreams when they think they have us beaten.

It was QB Matthew Stafford’s freshman year, and the season had been dreadful to say the least. Coming off the 2005 SEC Championship win, things fell flat in 2006, losing to rivals Tennessee and Florida (not to mention Vanderbilt…yuck!).

Georgia was down to Georgia Tech 12-7 late in the 4th quarter, but Stafford produced a miracle and put together a 12-play, 64-yard drive, which ended with a four-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi with 1:45 left in the game.
