Georgia football: Top stories from the third week of fall camp

Georgia reigns in recruits

This past week was a huge week for Georgia in terms of recruiting. Three top-300 prospects committed to Georgia within four days of each other.

The commitment party began on August 15 when wide receiver Elijah Moore chose Georgia over Miami and Ole Miss. At 5’11 and 181 pounds, Moore is the no. 180 prospect and no. 35 receiver in America according to 247 Sports.

Azeez Ojulari joined Georgia’s 2018 class on the 27th when he chose the Bulldogs over Florida. Ojulari is the no. 138 player and no. 6 weak side defensive end in America. Kearis Jackson was the last commitment of the week. he’s the no. 127 player and no. 26 wide receiver in America.

Georgia is now up to 12 commits for the 2018 class. Good enough for no. 24 nationally and no. 8 in the SEC. After a big week and with how Smart has recruited since becoming head coach, Georgia will certainly compete for the top spot nationally by signing day.
