Elijah Moore gets the week started.

Elijah Moore was the first commitment to come in on Tuesday. He’s a player who has kind of come from left field for a lot of fans. a few weeks ago, UGA wasn’t even in his top 3 schools but they made a big time push. Receivers coach James Coley made him a big time priority late on and that really mattered. UGA got a visit from Moore in mid July and that seemed to be all he needed to make his decision.

Georgia was considered to be heavily interested in local product Josh Vann. He committed to South Carolina on Saturday and it seems like Coley turned his eye to Moore a few weeks ago. in this class, Georgia are really looking for slot receivers who can complement the big bodies they brought in to play on the sidelines in 2017. Vann stated in interviews that he wants to play outside and that doesn’t really fit what UGA need.

Moore fits perfectly. He has a fantastic first step and could be a serious weapon in the slot. He needs to put on some muscle and get stronger, but his speed is a weapon. When you see him go up against corners, it’s his change of direction that stands out. It’s special and I can’t wait to see it between the hedges.
