Georgia Football: UGA vs. Samford Score Prediction
Each week, Dawn of the Dawg will release a score prediction for the Georgia Football team’s upcoming game. Here’s how we did last week:

Although Samford is my alma mater, I’ve promised to be fair and realistic for my score prediction for this week.
Samford has built quite a program over in Birmingham, Alabama. They’ve made a couple of recent trips to the FCS playoffs and have a few former players on NFL rosters. Samford runs an up-tempo, pass-heavy offense and definitely has playmakers on both sides of the ball.
While they are by no means a powerhouse, they are a better team than Nicholls State were last year. Their ability to throw the football around could challenge UGA’s secondary. That being said, this should be a good chance for Georgia to build some momentum on offense. We’ve seen how good this defense can be. The offense, however, needs to run some plays and build momentum.
The outcome of this game will be a very predictable one, however. Georgia will take care of business early and score a lot of points in this game. This will be an excellent opportunity for young players like Jake Fromm and others to get some good playing experience.
The two most important things the Dawgs need to do this week are to take care of business early to get the starters some rest and do their best to avoid injuries. They will also want to see some of their heralded freshmen flash their skills on the field. The Dawgs begin SEC play next week when they take on Mississippi State.
