Georgia Football got some good news on the injury front when Malkom Parrish and Jacob Eason both practiced again yesterday.

Georgia Football fans had some more good news on Monday. Fresh after securing a defensive line recruit in Tramel Walthour, they also got to see two of their starters back in practice. Malkom Parrish injured his foot back in fall training and has been out ever since. He broke a bone and was expected to miss at least 5 weeks. QB Jacob Eason sprained his knee in the first quarter of the App State game. He was on crutches for the Notre Dame game but seemed to be much better this weekend vs Samford.

While I doubt that either player will return to play this weekend, if I had to pick one that is more likely it would be Parrish. That’s because I really think this secondary misses him. While he’s not the biggest corner, Parrish is a physical player and might well be our teams best tackler. The unit could really use him back there.

As impressed as I have been with Jake Fromm, I still think that Eason will likely take the starting QB job back when he’s healthy. That’s nothing against Fromm, but he’s not lit the world on fire since he took over. Nor should he have, he is a true freshman and he will no doubt be better for his experiences. But Eason has that full season under his belt and is the better player right now.

I just wouldn’t expect that to come this week. I’d expect Kirby Smart to be cautious with his QB. Georgia can still win this week with Fromm at QB, but it will be a lot tougher to win the east if Eason is out for the season.
