2014 vs. Clemson

This was the first time Chubb ever seen live action in Sanford. It was a big primetime week one match-up against the preseason no. 16 Clemson Tigers. This was when we were all officially introduced to Chubb.  It wasn’t his most impressive statistical game between the Hedges, but that was simply because he only touched the ball four times.

Todd Gurley was still the lead back at the time, but it was instantly obvious that Nick was destined for greatness in Athens when he busted off this amazing touchdown run. He finished this run with only one shoe and at another point in the game had his helmet ripped off and continued running.

A lot of kids are star struck initially coming from high school to big time college football. Chubb obviously wasn’t one of those. He was an angry, aggressive runner from day one. Clemson couldn’t stop him.
