Georgia football’s 2020 class is shaping up to be a special one. However, there are around ten spots left, so here are the top five guys the Dawgs want in this class.

Georgia football currently has 14 members in its 2020 class and according to 247Sports Composite rankings, the Dawgs rank as the No. 6 overall and the No. 3 SEC team. The Dawgs also have an average rating per commitment of 92.71 percent.

For the 2020 class, Georgia will likely take 23-24 players, and I’m leaning more toward the 24 with Jeremiah Holloman’s departure.

Georgia currently has one quarterback, three wideouts,  three offensive linemen, four defensive linemen, one linebacker and one cornerback.

To fill this class, I expect the Dawgs will take two running backs, one or two tight ends, two more offensive linemen, two more defensive linemen, one more linebacker, and one to two defensive backs.

There are a few positions that the Dawgs could take one or two, and that’s why those numbers don’t exactly add up to 24.

It’s a fluid process for sure and one to keep an eye out on as July and the dead period will be over in a matter of weeks.

In my opinion, there are five distinct players the Dawgs are after and need to make this class that much better.

There are other guys to keep an eye out for, but these five guys could pull a trigger now, later, or wait till December. People need to know these names because I think all of them end up in this class.

Some notable mentions are Darnell Washington, Zachary Evans, Tank Bigsby, Zykeivous Walker, Jacolbe Cowan, Rico Powers Jr., Dwight McGlothern, and Len’Neth Whitehead. There are others, but those were all considered for this list.

In my opinion, there are five distinct players the Dawgs are after and need to make this class that much better. If the Dawgs want to get back into the top three and finish with a top class, these are five guys the Dawgs need to sign and get on campus.

Kelee Ringo

We all know that Ringo is a top priority for the Dawgs and he should be. He is one of the best corners in the country, and the Dawgs need a guy like him in the secondary.

According to 247Sports, Ringo ranks as the No. 9 overall, No. 1 cornerback, and the No.1 prospect out of Arizona.

The 247Sports crystal balls have been rolling in for the Dawgs and Ringo, and Georgia currently holds a 62 percent advantage over Texas that owns a 38 percent advantage.

Ringo released a top 5 on June 27. His top five are Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas. However, in my opinion, it’s a Texas-Georgia battle, and the Dawgs have that advantage for sure.

He is the top target the Dawgs are after because after losing Deandre Baker, they need someone to come in and be that lockdown cornerback and Ringo is that guy. Some thought he struggled at the Rivals 5-Star Challenge in Atlanta, and his rankings and ability were questioned.

The people who question his ability don’t realize the shock of going from Arizona to Georgia and having to compete in the humidity and heat. It’s a huge difference. So his performance in Atlanta was an off day in my opinion.

Get him to use to the heat like Isaiah Wilson had to, and countless others, and he will be shutting down whichever side he starts on at Georgia.

I  think he signs with the Dawgs and a commitment comes before December.
