Georgia football sends simple yet powerful message to its fans

Georgia football drops its hype videos on Friday afternoons ahead of the big game, and this week, there was a not-so-subtle message directed toward its fans. By now, most know that the weather will be soggy for the Samford game, but that doesn’t mean the fans shouldn’t show up and be loud.

This video discussed the incredible atmosphere in Athens, and of course, it’s because it’s the first home game of the season. However, is it wrong to think that Georgia wants fans for this game regardless of who the Dawgs play?

There is no doubt that Georgia fans will show up for the Dawgs’ first home game, but at the same time, the weather does put that thought in the back of your head. Georgia should find a way to handle its business no matter what the crowd looks like, but seeing a packed Sanford Stadium is always lovely.

Georgia football dropped a simple message in its weekly hype video.

Chris Smith narrates the short hype video, but the message came through, and it sent down my are the biggest goosebumps.

Sacred grounds is such an excellent title for this video because that is what Sanford Stadium is, and it’s truly a perfect title. Athens is a special place, and when you include the fans, it becomes even more of a sacred spot.

Some may not like the term sacred for various reasons, but to these football fans, it is the definition of the word. Even with rain on the radar, isn’t that even more of an indication of how sacred Sanford Stadium and Athens are — this rain is such a good sign of cleansing and growth.

It’s truly a perfect word for Saturday’s game, so go, early Georgia fans. Wear your rain gear and be loud for those Dawgs as they look to win their second game of the season in another blowout.
