Carson Beck has had quite the up and down career throughout his time with Georgia football. The 2023 season went very well for Beck and UGA as they went 12-0 in the regular season, but they unfortunately came up short against Alabama in the SEC Championship game.
Even though Georgia came up short in Beck's first year as a starter, Georgia fans were very hopeful for the 2024 season after he announced that he was returning for another season. This year however did not go as well as Beck never seemed to live up to the expectations set before him.
Georgia did go 10-2 in the regular season under Beck and won the SEC Championship, but this season just didn't feel as good as 2023 with Beck under center. But when Beck originally decided to declare for the NFL Draft, he was met with a lot of positive messages from Georgia fans who were thankful for the two years he gave them as starter.
Those positive messages however went away immediately after Beck changed his mind and decided to enter the transfer portal and return to college for one more season. Georgia fans were furious by this decision, but that is just the way things go in college football nowadays.
Now the question on everyone's mind is where Beck will transfer to. It might be a few days before we find out the answer to that question, but On3 just named three teams to keep an eye on in Beck's recruitment.
3 teams named contenders for Carson Beck
According to On3, Ohio State, Texas Tech and Miami (FL) are three teams to keep an eye on in Beck's recruitment. But one of these teams was named as the clear leader right now, and that is Miami.
Multiple reports immediately came out that the Hurricanes are the team to beat for Beck, so it may just be a matter of time until that rumor becomes an official commitment from Beck. Georgia fans might be a little upset if this comes true as they probably hoped he would stay in the SEC so Georgia could play him next season, but that appears to not be happening.
But for now, it's time for Georgia to move on from Beck because there is no chance he returns to Athens again like he did last offseason.
