Since Kirby Smart took over the Georgia Bulldogs in 2016, the Bulldogs have become a staple for producing NFL talent. In fact, as of this year's NFL Draft, Smart has had just as many players drafted in the first round as he has had losses in his 10 years at Georgia (21).
Of those already in the league, whether first round or not, there are several Bulldogs with a "prove it" year in 2026. In particular, three Dawgs are looking to have a massive year ahead.
1. Jordan Davis
Statistically, Jordan Davis should now be entering in what is considered the "prime" of his career. The third year in the league is normally the proving ground for many defensive tackles, and Davis has already done that.
Davis will be looking to prove why he is the highest paid nose tackle in NFL history. To make things scarier, he has notably lost weight this past offseason and looks to be quicker than before. Keep in mind, he ran a 4.78 40 yard dash at 341 pounds. Davis is on track to be the scariest defensive lineman in the league in 2026.
2. Darnell Washington
Things could not line up better for Darnell Washington in 2026. The Steelers have offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who notably likes to use multiple tight end formations. With Jonnu Smith underperforming last year and Washington having over 300 receiving yards on limited playing time, Washington looks to add to that total this year.
Also, this is Washington's contract year before his rookie deal expires. The Steelers will likely use this as a year to give him more targets and see where his potential truly lies.
3. Tyson Campbell
Tyson Campbell was given a new change of pace when he was traded to the Cleveland Browns this past season. The Browns also brought in former Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken to be the head coach, giving the organization some newfound hope after recent struggles.
Even with all the chaos that was last year, Campbell still was one of the top tacklers on the Browns defense. With a full year under his belt with Cleveland, Campbell can be expected to have a bigger role with the Browns.
