Georgia football is scheduled to begin their highly anticipated fall camp later this week. This means that the excitement surrounding the Bulldogs and the upcoming season has never been higher.

There are countless important players and coaches that need to have a big fall camp this year, but these five players arguably need to have the best fall camp as the regular season inches closer.

1. QB Gunner Stockton

The first player that will be mentioned by anyone this fall when talking about Georgia is quarterback Gunner Stockton. He is yet to be named the starter this fall for UGA, but it would be a huge surprise if he does not win the job.

Stockton however needs to prove right away that he is No. 1 guy at quarterback, that way he can have as many reps with the first team offense as possible. He also needs to win the locker room this fall as well and show that he can be an emotional leader for this team too.

Thankfully that second part will be easy for him because everyone last season couldn't stop raving about his leadership after he took over for an injured Carson Beck.

2. RB Nate Frazier

Running back Nate Frazier might just be the most important player on Georgia's roster this season. Expectations are sky high for Frazier this year, and those expectations grew even more on Monday when he was named to the Maxwell Award watch list.

Frazier is guaranteed to be the starting running back this season and he will look to erase the bad memories from the somewhat disappointing run game from last year. But the reason Frazier is the most important player this year is because he can make life a lot easier for Stockton. If Georgia's run game can be as effective as it has been in previous years, then Stockton and the passing game will benefit as defenses will have to stack the box more to stop the run.

So the better season Frazier has will likely mean the better season Stockton has under center.

3. EDGE Elo Modozie

Many of Georgia's transfers from this offseason are expected to have a big role this season, and that includes EDGE Elo Modozie. Modozie comes from Army as one of the top EDGE transfers in the country, and so far he has quickly impressed everyone at Georgia this offseason. He even has Kirby Smart talking about how excited he is about him.

Fall camp is crucial for Modozie to prove he is the alpha of the defensive line and someone that they can count on to be a wrecking ball in the backfield all season long.

4. WR Zachariah Branch

Georgia's wide receiver room was not great last season. That honestly coiuld be the biggest understatement ever after UGA's wide receivers led the nation in drops last year.

Thankfully Georgia struck gold in the Transfer Portal twice at the wide receiver position this offseason which included adding one of the top names in the portal in wide receiver Zachariah Branch. Not only will Branch be a weapon for Stockton this season out wide, but he will be heavily featured in the return game as well.

If everything goes according to plan, Branch could be the most electric player Georgia fans have seen in a long time. And that standard begins this fall during camp as he gears up for his first season at Georgia.

5. OL Daniel Calhoun

Four of the five offensive line spots appear to be set in stone, but right guard is the one spot still up for grabs this fall. Daniel Calhoun however has the best chance to win the starting job.

Calhoun did suffer a foot injury this spring that cut his time short this offseason, but a healthy and productive fall camp will help him prove that the starting right guard spot is his.
