Five-star quarterback Elijah Haven is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class. He also is the No. 2 overall player in the country as well. Any school would be lucky to win his recruitment, and earlier this week Georgia found out they were one of his three finalists along with Alabama and Auburn.
Haven also shared the he will announce his commitment on April 25, so in just a few short days Georgia will find out their fate.
Haven however had one final twist up his sleeve on Friday as he cut Auburn out of the equation and will now decide between Georgia and Alabama.

5-star QB Elijah Haven is down to Georgia and Alabama with his commitment date coming soon
Beating Auburn in anything is always very enjoyable. That is even the case when a recruit trims them off their list while keeping Georgia on it. That celebration however may not last all that long.
Georgia unfortunately is the heavy underdog in this recruitment. Alabama has been the team out in front for quite some time, and they even had multiple predictions in their favor before Haven even announced his initial three finalists.
So where does this leave Georgia? They still have plenty of quarterbacks they are targeting in the 2027 class, so there is no need to panic if Haven does end up picking Alabama. They also still have a commitment from fellow five-star signal caller Jayden Wade in the 2028 recruiting class. Just like Haven, Wade is the No. 1 quarterback in his class as well, so he will bring immense talent to Athens in due time.
So as nice as it would be for Georgia to get Haven, Alabama can have him. The Bulldogs have Wade coming to Athens just one year after him and these two certainly will have more than a few heavyweight tilts over the years.
