Elijah Haven is the No. 1 quarterback in the country. He also is the No. 2 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class well. Those facts made him a top target for Georgia, and Haven returned the favor by showing a lot of interest in UGA as well throughout his recruitment.
For the last few months though he has been all Alabama. Every recruiting expert has picked the Tide to win his recruitment, but that hasn’t stopped Kirby Smart. In fact, it looks like Smart might be making one final push as Haven released a big announcement which included his final three schools and a commitment date just days after he visited Georgia.

5-star QB Elijah Haven is ready to commit
This weekend Haven announced his final three schools. Alabama and Georgia unsurprisingly made the cut, but he also included Auburn which was a bit of a surprise. While the Tigers were included in his final group it doesn’t feel like they have much of a chance, so his recruitment likely is down to the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs.
On top of announcing his three finalists, Haven also shared that he would be committing on April 25. So in just a few short days Georgia will either have their hearts broken or land another No. 1 quarterback.
Georgia already has fellow five-star QB Jayden Wade committed to their 2028 recruiting class. That fact made it feel unlikely that Haven will come to Georgia as well, but it’s looking like he doesn’t care about that at all.
Alabama is still the favortie to win this recruitment, and as long as all the expert predictions hold steady there isn’t any reason for Georgia to get their hopes up. But it is telling that he made this announcement just days after visiting Georgia, so who knows what’s going to happen.
