Georgia's first game of the season means a lot of things, but one thing it means is recruiting visits. The Bulldogs are known for bringing a lot of talent to Athens to take in a game, but this Saturday at their season opener they will have over 100 recruits visiting which is highlighted by five-star running back commit Kemon Spell.

Kemon Spell's vist to Georgia is more important than it might seem
Spell has been committed to Georgia since February. In about three months he will be able to officially sign with Georgia, but until then they need to hold off any potential flip attempts from other schools.
So far Georgia has been able to accomplish that and Spell has made it abundantly clear that he has no intentions of flipping, but in today's day and age you just never know. That's why Georgia is constantly looking for another sign from Spell that they're still in good standing, and him visiting for the first game of the season is a great sign.
There will be plenty of opportunities for Spell to come back to Georgia for future game day visits throughout the rest of the season. That also means that he could take visits to other schools as well. As long as he doesn't visit other schools then Georgia probably doesn't have anything to worry about, but to get a visit from Spell during the first game of the season is a good sign for UGA in his recruitment.
Kirby Smart's recruiting continues to thrive in new NIL landscape
Even though Georgia has continued winning SEC Championships and is the only program in the country with multiple national titles in the NIL era, college football analysts and fans love to question Kirby Smart's recruiting tactics.
Smart does handle recruiting a bit differently from the average college football program today. Instead of looking for the next best recruit in the Transfer Portal every offseason he would rather pay his current players to keep them in Athens. Smart also doesn't want to overspend for any recruit and instead wants recruits who care about their development more than a paycheck.
Georgia has the reputation nationwide that they don't offer recruits top dollars, but that hasn't slowed them down. The are still able to bring in over 100 recruits on the same weekend and they are still able to earn commitments from top prospects like Kemon Spell and quarterback Jayden Wade who are the No. 1 players in the country at their position.
Georgia has every chance to win their third SEC Championship in a row this season. They could also win Kirby Smart's third national championship as well. So while people keep questioning his recruiting tactics Smart will just keep winning on the football field. He will also keep bringing in loads of recruits to every Georgia home game which indirectly proves that the negative things some people say about his recruiting tactics don't represent what's actually taking place in real life.
