5-star RB commit Kemon Spell’s unfathomable first game proves Georgia got a good one

Kemon Spell is the No. 1 running back in the country who’s been committed to Georgia since February. On Saturday he had the first high school game of his senior season, and he exploded for one of the craziest stat lines you will ever see.

Spell carried the ball just four times in his team’s dominant victory, but he turned three of those carries into touchdowns. Yes, he scored three touchdowns in just four carries.

Spell has been the No. 1 running back in the country since he committed to Georgia at the start of the year. A few other running backs could challenge him for that title, but fellow five-star David Gabriel-Georges is the closest to him.

Gabriel-Georges is committed to Tennessee, so there already is a bit of a rivalry brewing between the two. They both have also already had amazing performances during the high school season too, so they are showing why they are the top two running backs in the country.

Spell however hasn’t played a full game yet. Only getting four carries doesn’t really feel like he’s even played yet this year, but he already has three touchdowns to his name.

It will be interesting to see what he does when he does play an entire game, but the first game of his senior season showed why he is ranked No. 1 in the country.

Kemon Spell could be one half of one of the best Georgia QB-RB duos in Kirby Smart’s tenure

Spell will arrive at Georgia next year and immediately compete for playing time. He has the potential to be one of the best running backs in Kirby Smart’s tenure, and that’s saying something after the countless talented backs he has coached throughout his tenure.

Spell however will only be one half of what could be the best quarterback-running back duo Georgia has seen in a long time.

Fellow five-star Jayden Wade is Georgia’s prime quarterback commit. Just like Spell he is the No. 1 player at his position, but he is only a member of the 2028 class. This means that unless he reclassifies to the 2027 class Wade sill arrive to Georgia a whole year after Spell.

The feeling though is that Wade and Spell will be the starters in Georgia’s backfield together at some point in their career. If that does happen and they both live up to their potential they could take Georgia’s offense to an elite level that paired with a good defense could make UGA favorites to win multiple national championships.

This might be high expectations for two players still in high school, but at Georgia the expectation is to win championships. Both Wade and Spell know this, and they knew that committing to Georgia meant they will be held to that standard. They however both have the potential to bring multiple titles to Georgia, and in just a couple years they could be dominating college football in Georgia’s backfield en route to another historic runner Kirby Smart.
