Georgia's 2027 recruiting class still has a long ways to go, but running back is a position they already have pretty much figured out. The Bulldogs have two running backs currently committed to their recruiting class and typically that is where teams will stop, but Kirby Smart still has his eyes on a few more targets.

The top running back left on their board is five-star David Gabriel-Georges. He is the No. 10 player in the country and No. 2 running back, so it's obvious why Georgia would want him.

The good news is that Georgia appears to be one of his final four schools, but the bad news is that they seem like an afterthought to him right now.

5-star David Gabriel-Georges indirectly gave Georgia a bit of bad news

Georgia was one of just four schools to be mentioned in the above update. That's pretty good, right? Typically it is, but Gabriel-Georges doesn't seem as fond of Georgia compared to the other schools mentioned.

It's hard to blame him because of the fact that Georgia already has two running backs committed. On top of that, one of those running backs is Kemon Spell who is the No. 1 back in the country.

So not only would he be the third running back to commit to Georgia, but the only player ranked higher than him is already committed as well. It's easy to see why that would be a major turn off, but if that's the case then he might as well just end things with Georgia right now.

But Gabriel-Georges still plans on taking an official visit to Georgia this summer, so there is still a chance Smart can convince him to commit. If he chooses elsewhere though Georgia still has other options in mind, but at the end of the day if UGA only ends up with the two running backs currently committed then that wouldn't be much of a problem at all.
