Georgia currently has two five-stars committed to their 2027 recruiting class. One of those players is Jaxon Dollar.
Dollar is a tight end, and to anyone who has followed Georgia recruiting over the past few years they won't be surprised to learn that UGA was able to add another elite player at the position.
But before we dive into how impressive Georgia's tight end recruiting has been, Dollar recently spoke about his upbringing and it's clear that his childhood put him in position to find great success while he's at Georgia.
Jaxon Dollar on why he plays football: "my momma and always trying to beat my brothers."

Grew up getting beat up on by his older brothers. Now he's walking into the deepest TE room in the country with the same energy. #BeforetheHedges pic.twitter.com/JhzgxjKu4z
Jaxon Dollar's family prepared him to play at Georgia his entire life
Dollar grew up with a few older brothers. Instead of taking it easy on him they made sure to give it their all against him no matter what sport or activity they were doing.
This obviously was unfair to Dollar when he was young because at some ages it's impossible to make up the skill gap, but that competition at home is what led him to become as great of a player as he is today.
Not only has that shaped him into one of the best tight ends in the country, but it has prepared him to enter what is the best tight end room on the country at Georgia and not be intimidated at all.
Georgia's TE room is as loaded as ever before
No one has recruited tight ends better than Georgia has the last few years. In fact, it would be difficult to find any one position at any school that is more stacked than Georgia's tight end room right now.
One year ago in the 2026 recruiting class Georgia signed three top 10 tight ends in the country. Then the year before that they signed two of the top 10 tight ends in the country in the 2025 recruiting class. Georgia even has a commitment from Asa Wall in the 2028 recruiting class who is the No. 6 tight end in the country.
Then there is Dollar who is the No. 2 tight end in the 2027 class.
That is some immense competition that Dollar is going to have to go up against when he arrives on campus next year, but his childhood prepared him for this.
There is no chance that Dollar will be intimidated when he gets on campus next year. He already spent his whole life competing against his older brothers who had more experience than him, so why would he be scared now?
It isn't a guarantee that he will see the field that much during his freshman season, and in all honesty it would be a bit shocking if he did. But Dollar has all the potential in the world and even Georgia's stacked tight end room won't be able to make him nervous.
