CFB expert said what the rest of the country is afraid to admit about Georgia football

Can Georgia win a National Championship this season? A rationale college football fan would say yes, but even the biggest Georgia fans would admit they shouldn't be the favorite right now.

But they absolutely should be in the conversation with the other elite teams in college football, and 247Sports' Brad Crawford believes Georgia has the talent to compete (and beat) anyone in the country.

Brad Crawford believes Vegas' National Championship odds are all wrong

Crawford believes that Georgia has the third most talented roster in the country this season. That doesn't necessarily mean that Georgia is the third most likely team to win it all, but he more than likely has Georgia somewhere in that range.

Crawford has Georgia slotted behind Texas and Ohio State. Both of these programs do have really talented rosters, and Vegas agrees as they give both teams better odds to win it all and have Texas as the favorite to win the SEC.

Vegas however currently gives Georgia the sixth-best odds to win the National Championship, and that goes against what Crawford believes.

It's hard to judge these teams accurately right now before any games are played, but the consensus should be that Georgia is one of the few teams in the country who are capable of winning a National Championship. Both Crawford and Vegas believe this, but Fox Sports' analyst Joel Klatt isn't so sure.

Brady Crawford completely disagrees with Joel Klatt about Georgia football

Klatt recently said that he does not believe Georgia can win a National Championship this season. His reason for thinking that is because he isn't sold on Georgia's wide receivers being talented enough to compete at the highest level this year.

Georgia's receivers do have a lot to prove as most of them are young and inexperienced, but that doesn't automatically mean they are going to be bad.

Crawford understands this as he was still willing to say that Georgia has the third best roster in the country. On top of that, he said that Georgia's tight end room is their best position this season, so that should help them overcome any weakness UGA experiences during the season from their wide receivers.

Who knows how this season will play out, but at this point it is ridiculous to suggest that Georgia won't be able to in a National Championship. No one is saying they need to be tabbed as the favorite, but saying they have the third best roster or the sixth best odds in the country is a lot more realistic than the utter nonsense Klatt has been spewing.
