Carson Beck and Miami (FL) proved a lot of people wrong Friday night. Entering Friday night's matchup against Louisville, Beck and the Hurricanes had everyone believing they were one of the best teams in the country. Even former Georgia football superstars like Aaron Murray had been singing their praises all season long.
But all it took was one lackluster performance from Beck for everyone to realize that this Miami team is not what they thought they were. And Murray summed up what every college football fan is thinking to perfection in the below social media post.
Oops… swing for the fences y’all https://t.co/XL1ocsTcbp

Aaron Murray says the quiet part out loud after Carson Beck, Miami struggle vs Louisville
Beck had one of the worst performances of his career Friday night against Louisville. He completed 25 of 35 passes for 271 yards which isn't too terrible at first glance, but it was his four interceptions and zero touchdown passes that ultimately led to Miami's ugly loss.
This performance had college football fans and analysts like Murray immediately backtrack from their previous statements about Miami. Many fans believed they were one of the best teams in the country if not the No. 1 team, but after Friday night no one thinks that way anymore. And Murray put it best by saying his previous comments about Miami being the best team in the country were just a "swing for the fences."
The Hurricanes season isn't over as they still control their own destiny to make the ACC Championship game and College Football Playoff. But all it takes is one more bad performance like Friday night for their season to be over. And knowing Beck has the potential for another four interception performance like Friday night, no one should count on Miami winning anything significant the rest of the season.
