On Wednesday the SEC released kickoff times for the first three weeks of the upcoming football season. Georgia had a lot to complain about because neither of their first two games at home will be played at night and their SEC opener at Arkansas will be an 11:00 am local start.
But sometimes things just don't go your way when kickoff times are announced and that's just part of sports.
Arkansas however is furious with their kickoff times and their athletic director Hunter Yurachek posted a formal complaint on social media to express just how upset they are. He apparently is upset with the kickoff times they were given for their week two game at Utah and week three contest at home against Georgia, and his complaints sound a lot like he is already making excuses ahead of their matchup with the Bulldogs.

Arkansas AD is already coming up with excuses months before they play Georgia
Arkansas' road game at Utah in week two will be played at 9:15 pm CST which is an 8:15 pm local start in Utah. They then will have to turn around and head home to play Georgia the next Saturday at 11:00 am CST.
Yurachek estimates that their team won't arrive home after their game at Utah until 6:00 am that Sunday. Based on that fact alone he believes it isn't fair that they then will have to play Georgia at 11:00 am a whole six days later.
This may just be the most insane thing anyone has ever complained about. For starters, Arkansas agreed to play this game at Utah knowing there was a chance it could a night game, so how can they complain about something they willingly signed up for?
Arkansas also would get back super late no matter what time they played Utah. Even if their game was a Noon local start they still wouldn't get home until the middle of the night. So is a couple of hours really that much of a difference?
No one can deny that this turn around will be difficult, especially considering they have to play the two-time defending SEC Champions the following week. But no one should feel bad for Arkansas because they agreed to play this game in Utah.
Instead of getting the public to back Arkansas, Yurachek unfortunately made it seem like they are afraid to play Georgia.
Georgia should be thankful for the small advantage given to them against Arkansas
Georgia didn't really need any extra help against Arkansas, but they certainly will take it.
These two teams couldn't have been more different last year as Georgia finished at the top of the SEC while Arkansas finished in dead last. So even if this "disadvantage" didn't exist Georgia more than likely would've still won this game very easily.
The kickoff times for these games though does make life a little more difficult for Arkansas, so you won't see anyone at Georgia complaining. Weird things happen on the road in the SEC, so Georgia should be appreciative of any advantage they get no matter who their opponent is and how minimal it is.
