Georgia football has the unique opportunity to face the same team for the second time this season, and in Georgia's case it is against one of the best teams in the country in No. 2 Texas.
The Longhorns only loss this season was when Georgia came to Texas earlier this season, and every Georgia fan remembers how amazing that game was. Georgia got the big win on the field by 15 points, which was a surprise to many as nobody was giving the Bulldogs a chance to win this game.
While there are countless memories and big moments from this game, a lot of that appears to have already been forgotten by Georgia QB Carson Beck. Beck was asked on Monday what he remembers from this first meeting, and his response to this question was perfect.
“Their fans throwing things on the field," Beck shared via uga.rivals.com.
Will there be another viral moment in the SEC Championship game?
Everyone remembers the moment Beck is referring to. After the refs overturned a Texas interception due to a penalty on the Longhorns, the Texas fans began throwing trash on the field. During the long delay this caused, the refs decided to pick up the flag they threw which allowed the interception by Texas to stand.
Thankfully this didn't end up impacting the result of this game, but it undoubtedly was very unfair to Georgia and was something that could have caused UGA to lose this game. Thankfully it didn't, and the reason everyone remembers this moment now is because of how bad of a look it was for the Longhorns' fanbase.
It's unlikely that something like this will happen again this weekend in the SEC Championship game, but who knows that other viral moment could happen on the field or in the stands. But as long as Georgia comes away with a win again, then whatever else happens doesn't really matter.
