In just a few days five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar will announce his commitment. That decision will come on April 30 and Georgia learned on Sunday that they were one of his three finalists.

That is a great place to be in as Kirby Smart looks to make one final push to bring Dollar to Georgia, but a conflicting report from 247Sports just changed everything in his recruitment at the last second.

5-star Jaxon Dollar names two new finalists alongside Georgia, Miami and Notre Dame

Rivals originally reported that Georgia, Miami and Notre Dame were Dollar's three finalists that he would be deciding between on April 30. 247Sports however came in with a new report less than 24 hours later stating that Clemson and Texas were also a finalist for Dollar as well.

Where did those two schools come from? Clemson has been involved in Dollar's recruitment the entire time but have felt like a distant choice compared to the original three finalists. Then there is Texas who is a brand new name in this recruitment.

Regardless of how they got here, Georgia now has even stiffer competition as this recruitment comes to an end.

Unfortunately for Georgia it isn't Clemson, Texas or even themselves who are the leader right now. That title belongs to Notre Dame who has a crystal ball prediction in their favor on 247Sports. That prediction was placed back in October though, so it's impossible to know how accurate that still is.

Georgia does have a good reason to be confident though. They just hosted Dollar on an official visit during G-Day and after that visit is when he first said he planned to commit soon. Dollar has decided to stay true to his word which could be a great sign for Georgia since he made that initial announcement right after visiting Athens.

But this recruitment could go one of many ways at this point. Notre Dame still feels like the favorite while the additions of Clemson and Texas after the fact are suspicious. Then there is Miami who is known for throwing large sums of money at players at the last second to win their recruitment.

Thankfully fans won't have to wait much longer to find out what Dollar chooses to do because he will announce his commitment in just a few short days.
