Heading into the 2026 season there are a lot of areas that Georgia knows they will excel at. At the top of that list might be the running game as the Bulldogs return two of the best running backs in the SEC in Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens.
But don’t tell Georgia’s in-state rival that because Georgia Tech running back Justice Haynes seems to think otherwise.

Justice Haynes made a ridiculous claim that Georgia can’t wait to prove wrong
Before diving in and discussing how ridiculous this claim is, it’s worth giving Haynes the credit he deserves. He has had a phenomenal three year career that began at Alabama and continued at Michigan before he decided to pack his bags and head to Georgia Tech.
His three year run ended with his one season with the Wolverines last season which saw him rus for 857 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. So it’s clear that he is one od the best backs in the country, but that doesn’t automatically mean Georgia Tech has the best running back room in the country.
Georgia probably doesn’t have the No. 1 running back room in the country either, but they certainly are in the conversation. They’ll be led by Nate Frazier who is back for his third season along with Chauncey Bowens who has proven to be an elite back as well.
Frazier and Bowens didn’t need more motivation this offseason, but this statement from Haynes will certainly be welcomed with open arms. They both now have all the motivation they need to get even better this offseason so they can try and prove they are the top duo in the country. But at the very least it’d be nice for them to be better than Georgia Tech’s room, especially when they battle at the end of the regular season.
