Did College GameDay pick Georgia to beat Tennessee?
ESPN’s College GameDay has been at Georgia all morning in front of a packed crowd full of Bulldogs fans, and after watching it all morning on TV it definitely has fans ready for the big game against Tennessee tonight.
While the game is still multiple hours from now, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding this game and is the one game everyone in the country is talking about. Georgia football’s game against Tennessee is one of two games featuring two ranked opponents. But the other game has two teams barely inside the top 25, so it’s clear why GameDay chose to come to Athens in the first place.
In true GameDay fashion, the crew made their predictions for a variety of games across the country in their last segment. And the last prediction was reserved for Georgia’s game against Tennessee.
If you remember the last time Georgia was featured on GameDay, the crew was all in on Texas beating UGA. That clearly didn’t go there way.
So let’s see who the crew picked to win between Georgia and Tennessee.
College GameDay crew make their predictions
Desmond Howard: Georgia
Nick Saban: Georgia
Pat McAfee: Georgia
Cody Rhodes: Georgia
Lee Corso: Georgia
At the end of the day, these predictions don’t mean anything. It’s nice to see the entire crew pick Georgia to win, but as mentioned that clearly didn’t matter when UGA played at Texas a few weeks ago.
The entire country is also high on Georgia winning this game, but Kirby Smart is still going to have to have his team fully focused and ready to play. Tennessee presents a massive challenge for Georgia in a game the Bulldogs must win. The Vols are also getting their starting QB Nico Iamaleava back from injury, which will make the game that much more difficult for Georgia to win.
So let’s hope Georgia lives up to the hype and defeats the Vols, because a loss would end UGA’s season far too soon.
