Peter Bourque has quickly become a name that every Georgia fan needs to know. He is a four-star quarterback ranked inside the top 100 players in the country who has begun to show a lot of interest in Georgia. In fact, he took a visit to Georgia at the start of this week right after the February recruiting dead period ended.
Not much information has come out from that visit yet, but Bourque previously shared an interesting quote that should really excite Georgia.
”UGA is the premier program in college football right now.”

When the nation's No. 7 QB said that prior to his UGA visit today, it stood out. Why does 4-star QB @PeterBourque7 feel that way about the Dawgs? https://t.co/RkxVv9T5W0 pic.twitter.com/xeEGmB43bi
Peter Bourque gives Georgia some positive recruiting momentum that they desperately need
Only one quote has emerged since Bourque's visit ended, and it thankfully shows that his visit went well.

Georgia could really use some positive momentum on the recruiting trail right now. On Tuesday a new prediction was made in Donte Wright's recruitment in favor of Oregon. For those not familiar with him, he is a five-star corner that has been committed to Georgia since June, so this was some of the worst news UGA could ever receive.
Then there is the bad luck Georgia has had with quarterbacks on the recruiting trail. Most recently it was Jared Curtis flipping to Vanderbilt last year, but then there is current five-star commit Jayden Wade who is being courted by a couple SEC rivals.
Bourque however could be the one person to end all of this bad momentum. He is a top 100 player in the country and someone who could have a long and successful career at Georgia. He also has the ability to completely change the outlook of Georgia's 2027 recruiting class if he were to commit, and that is especially the case if Wright does flip to Oregon.
Bourque doesn't seem like he will announce a commitment anytime soon, but Georgia appears to have made a lot of progress with him the last few weeks. And at this point that is all anyone can really ask for.
