Georgia’s been a little lost since landing the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class. While that obviously is a huge win for the program, it immediately became difficult to find a QB in the 2027 class who was interested in coming to Georgia.

The Bulldogs finally locked in on three quarterbacks who they thought they had a good chance with. And it turns out that one of those players is extremely excited to continue their recruitment with Georgia.

Peter Bourque visted Georgia as soon as he could

Peter Bourque is a four-star quarterback from Marion, MA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings he is the No. 76 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 1 player from his home state of Massachusettes and the No. 5 QB in the 2027 recruiting class.

Bourque is an interesting prospect because he just recently decommitted from Michigan. That announcement came on Feb. 17, then soon after he shared that he was going to visit Georgia. That visit is beginning on March 2 which is the first day after college football's recruiting dead period.

This dead period was in force for all of February and prevented recruits from visiting schools. Coaches were also not allowed to travel and visit recruits at their homes either. So March 2 is the first opportunity that recruits had to continue their recruitments in person, so the fact that Bourque decided to immediately head to Georgia is a great sign.

Bourque likely won't announce a commitment anytime soon, but it is clear that Georgia is high on his list. In fact, Georgia might be the No. 1 team in his recruitment right now.

Only time will tell if Georgia ends up winning this recruitment or not, but for now the Bulldogs are in a great position with one of the top quarterbacks in the country.
