Falling ticket prices make a last second trip to Arkansas possible

Up next for Georgia is their SEC opener at Arkansas. This is fans first opportunity to hit the road and watch Georgia away from Sanford Stadium this season, but expensive ticket prices can make that challenging most games.

That however is not the case on Saturday as ticket prices for Georgia vs Arkansas are shockingly low with the cheapest available ticket as low as nine dollars on the secondary markets.

Cheap tickets give Georgia an opportunity to take over Arkansas’ stadium

The drive from Athens to Fayetteville is quite long. 12 hours separates the two campuses so it may be too late for fans to make a last second trip to Arkansas, but fans that live closer could take advantage of this opportunity to watch Georgia in person.

Tickets for the game are essentially free. Georgia won’t play another game this season with tickets this cheap, so it may be hard to pass up this opportunity to see them play and check out a new stadium and campus as well.

Georgia fans travel well to away stadiums. Fans however maybe didn’t plan a trip to Arkansas since they aren’t known for being a football school, but this is a good chance to see Georgia as they begin their journey to win the SEC for the third year in a row.

What’s at stake for Georgia against Arkansas?

Arkansas could be Georgia’s easiest SEC game this season, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an extremely important game. If Georgia wants to win the SEC this is a game they have to win. Sure they could still win the SEC if they lose, but they’d have to go a perfect 8-0 in the rest of their conference games to have a good chance to make it to Atlanta. All eight of those games will be against teams that are probably better than Arkansas, so if they can’t beat the Razorbacks then it’d be tough to beat eight other teams better than them.

Georgia enters this game as the No. 2 team in the country. Rankings this early in the season hardly matter, but if Georgia wants to stay ranked that high they need to win by a comfortable margin. They are predicted to win by 24.5 points as of now, but if they win a close game they could fall in the rankings.

Georgia is the king of the SEC right now. The top dog in the conference is expected to win at Arkansas with relative ease, so if Georgia wants to continue being the best team in the conference then they need to win on Saturday and make it look easy.
