Everyone loves a good recruiting flip. Those are the most exciting commitments for Georgia fans by far because they are actively stealing a player from another school.
Flips are even better when they are the expense of one of Georgia's rivals, and Kirby Smart has recently locked in on Florida offensive tackle commit Kennedee Jackson.
Jackson committed to Florida on June 2, but he already had Gator fans extremely nervous because just few days later he took an official visit to Athens. That nervousness has now grown to a full blown panic because Jackson is refusing to talk about his recruitment after his visit to Georgia.
I’m currently not doing any interviews at this time thanks. @247recruiting @Rivals

Florida fans are concerned Kirby Smart will flip Kennedee Jackson to Georgia
Jackson already had his visit to Georgia scheduled before he committed to Florida. Normally when a player commits they will cancel the rest of their visits, but Jackson had other plans. Even after committing to Florida he still wanted to see what Georgia is all about, so he headed to Athens last weekend for his official visit.
Almost no information has come out since this visit ended, but that may not be a bad thing for Georgia. If Jackson was 100 percent sold on Florida after visiting Georgia then he would say that, but that is clearly not the case.
Now Jackson won't even talk about his recruitment to any of the major recruiting sites, and that has sent Florida fans into a panicked frenzy.
"But you knew Smart was eventually going to punch back, and now we're going to see it all play out like it should," Cory Long wrote for hailfloridahail.com. "Smart represents the establishment in the SEC and college football in general. Love him or hate him, he's the standard."
Smart is the best coach in the country and Georgia is the best program in the country. Many Florida fans may not want to admit that, but it is a fact. Seeing Smart aggressively pursue Jackson was already bad enough for them, but seeing him struggle with his recruitment days after visiting Athens is the worst thing they could imagine.
But Smart is sitting somewhere with a big smile on his face knowing that he is causing Florida to panic while also knowing that the most likely outcome here may just be Jackson flipping to UGA.
What flipping Kennedee Jackson from Florida would mean for Georgia
Earning Jackson's commitment would be one of Georgia's biggest wins of the 2027 recruiting cycle. No one has to be told how good it is to steal recruits from Florida, but stealing Jackson would be as good as it gets.
Jackson is the No. 73 overall player in the country, so he clearly is someone that any program could use. On top of that, Jackson is from the state of Georgia as well. Georgia has struggled recruiting in-state talent in the 2027 recruiting class, but keeping Jackson in the Peach State would go a long ways to getting back on track in their home state.
But stopping the Gators momentum under new head coach Jon Sumrall may be the most important thing that would occur if Jackson flipped to Georgia. Even though he hasn't coached one game for Florida yet, their fans already think he is going to save their program. A lot of that has to do with their solid recruiting class, but Georgia could damper their mood by winning this recruitment.
And after seeing how Florida fans reacted to earning a commitment from Peach State running back Andrew Beard, who Georgia didn't even need, Smart definitely needs to calm them down.
It will be interesting to see if anything happens over the next few weeks in Jackson's recruitment. Regardless of what happens though it is clear that Smart and Georgia have given Jackson a lot to think about, so don't be surprised to see him turn his back on Florida and come to the good side at some point.
