Countless quarterbacks have come through Athens and have shined bright during Kirby Smart's era. But the first quarterback to do so was Jake Fromm.
Fromm unexpectedly took over Georgia's offense as a true freshman and led them all the way to the 2017 National Championship game. He unfortunately came up just short of winning that championship game, but he etched his name into Georgia football lore because of his stellar career.
Fromm hadn't made an appearance at Georgia again since heading to the NFL, but on Wednesday he randomly showed up to Georgia's Pro Day not as a supporter, but as a performer.

Jake Fromm showed up for Georgia's net batch of NFL pros
Georgia's Pro Day took place on Wednesday, and representatvies from nearly every NFL town were in town. They were here to see Georgia's future pros go through workouts as they make their pitch for why they should be drafted this summer.
Georgia doesn't have any quarterbacks entering the draft this year, so they needed to find someone who could throw to their pass catchers. Gunner Stockton could've stepped in, but that would've been a terrible decision for his future.
Enter Fromm who showed up to throw to all of Georgia's pass catchers in one of the biggest workouts of their careers.

Fromm has remained close to the program since leaving in 2019. He has never coached in any capacity, but he has continued to support the team and offer his advice when needed. So when Kirby Smart asked him to throw at their Pro Day he likely never thought twice about saying yes.
This just speaks to the elite culture that Smart has created at Georgia. Fromm's career is over, and even if he threw the ball well he wouldn't have a chance at being picked up by an NFL team. But he still took the time to come help the next batch of Georgia pros, and that is something really special to witness.
