Georgia currently sits with the No. 13 recruiting class in the country. That is not good enough at a school like Georgia, but there is still plenty of time for them to climb back up the rankings to where fans think they belong.

In order for that to happen though they can't afford to lose anymore of their commits, especially their highest ranked players. So when four-star offensive tackle commit Kelsey Adams was predicted to flip to Lane Kiffin and LSU last month it was officially time for Georgia fans to panic.

Adams however never officially announced that he was flipping to LSU. That came as a surprise to many college football fans, but even more were were shocked when he took to social media this week to shut down those rumors and reaffirm his commitment to Kirby Smart and Georgia.

Kelsey Adams ends all flip rumors in the best way possible

When Adams shared that he was sticking with Georgia he didn't make some grand announcement. He didn't want a ton of cameras pointed at him and he didn't pay someone to make him a cool graphic.

All he did was go on his personal social media account and say that he loves the other schools that he was looking at but that he loves Georgia a little more.

That is exactly what Kirby Smart and Georgia want to see. Obviously they would've been thrilled to see him reaffirm his commitment to them in any way, but doing so in this manner is exactly what Smart would want.

He wants players at Georgia who don't care about attention and money. He wants players who only want to work hard and win football games, and it's clear that is exactly what Georgia is going to get out of Adams during his time in Athens.

What does Kelsey Adams' announcement mean for Georgia's recruiting class?

This is one of the biggest wins for Georgia in the 2027 recruiting class. Losing any commit is always tough, but when it's a player as good as Adams is it is extremely difficult to overcome.

Adams is Georgia's fifth-highest ranked commit in their 2027 recruiting class. He is the No. 176 overall player in the country as well, so losing a player like that would've been nearly impossible to replace. That is especially the case at his position (offensive tackle) who are the most difficult players to recruit.

Georgia however no longer has to worry about losing Adams. He is officially sticking with Georgia and it doesn't even look like Kiffin's antics will be able to sway him.

Georgia still has a lot of work to do to get their recruiting class where they want it to be, but one thing they can be proud of is how well they've recruited the offensive line. They currently have six offensive linemen committed to their class which includes multiple elite prospects like Adams and Kennedee Jackson who is the No. 73 overall player in the country.

Sure Smart has some serious questions to answer about Georgia's 2027 recruiting class, but his offensive line class is about as good as it can get.
