Georgia football had a brief 72 hours where it felt like the sky was falling. Last week reports came out that five-star quarterback Jared Curtis visited Vanderbilt not once, but twice with the second visit occurring during the Commodores matchup against Missouri on Saturday.
Speculation was running rampant nationally as college football fans and analysts across the country believed Curtis was going to flip to Vanderbilt. However, it turns out that Curtis never even for a second thought about flipping, and late Monday night he confirmed with On3's Steve Wiltfong that he is 100 percent committed to Georgia.

5-star QB Jared Curtis ends recruiting drama
It's unfortunate that the drama surrounding Curtis's commitment ever began last week. Curtis shared over the weekend that the reason he was visiting Vanderbilt was to support a high school teammate who was thinking about playing there. He never for a second was going there thinking he might ditch Georgia and flip to Vanderbilt.
But that didn't fit the media's narrative. They took this opportunity to create a lot of drama surrounding his recruitment even though Curtis's agent said multiple times that he was not going to ditch Georgia. That however did not stop ESPN's College GameDay from leading the charge and talking about Curtis potentially flipping to Vanderbilt three times during their weekly show on Saturday.
Georgia fans however get the last laught because Curtis has proclaimed that he isn't going anywhere. Curtis himself has said that he is 100 percent locked in with Georgia, so UGA fans don't need to spend anymore time worrying about him flipping to a different school.
And when it comes to the media running with this madeup narrative, Kirby Smart has a message for them. He may not be able to talk about Curtis directly (as it is against the rules for coaches to publicly discuss recruits), but he made it clear how upset he is with how the media handled Curtis's recruitment the last few days.
